Dear members of the educational community, colleagues, and friends,

It is an honour to welcome you to EUPHE’s II International Conference, whose motto this year, “Fostering Collaboration in Higher Education”, invites us to reflect on the crucial role we play in shaping the pan-European landscape of higher education.

On this occasion, I would like to highlight the opportunities brought by artificial intelligence, which serves as a phenomenal tool both in the classroom and in institutional management by simplifying administrative processes. However, digitalization is not without risks, and strengthening cybersecurity must remain a priority.

In an era of increasing awareness of sustainability across industries—the future employers of our students—integrating green education into our academic offerings is essential to ensure employability and contribute to a more sustainable future. Additionally, shifting demographics are already influencing European policies, requiring proactive responses from our institutions. Digital marketing and internationalization are becoming ever more critical to our success.

Collaboration on these topics is not only a testament to our commitment to excellence, but also highlights the importance of thought leadership that transcends borders.
