Currently, Alfonso González Hermoso de Mendoza is President of the Higher Education Spaces Association.
Alfonso González has served as Deputy Minister of Universities, Science and Innovation, and as Technical Secretary General for Education, Universities and Research of the Community of Madrid. Previously, he held positions as Director General for Evaluation and Territorial Cooperation at the Ministry of Education and Universities, Director General of the EOI Business School, and Secretary General of the Interdepartmental Commission for Science and Technology of the Community of Madrid. He is a management officer at the Complutense University of Madrid and an adjunct professor of administrative law at several universities.
He holds a law degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a master’s degree in university management and policy from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He has published extensively on higher education, research policies, and innovation.
